Contact your DC Councilmembers and demand action to end all cooperation between the DC Jail and ICE!

SCRIPT: My name is ________ and I am calling to ask that [the Councilmember] support the Sanctuary Values Act to end all collaboration between the DC Jail and ICE. In August, the Washington City Paper uncovered that the DC Jail has transferred more than 40 of our neighbors to ICE since 2016. It also revealed that the DC Jail gives ICE a heads up when individuals with immigration detainers are being released so ICE can come and detain them. This policy directly contradicts DC’s sanctuary status and separates DC residents from their families and communities. Please act now to protect our communities and our neighbors against hate.
